Attract More Abundance By Being Grateful

 

By seeing and recognizing the sources that are bringing our feeling of abundance, we can focus our energy and effort to create more.


Being grateful on a daily basis, for just one week, is proven to have had benefits lasting for six months or more. Studies by interested observers in the academic field of positive psychology have found that positive thinking and the similar emotions will help a person to feel better. Spiritual masters have known and advocated the emotion of gratitude for literally a millennia or more.


Personal development coaches and gurus also state that gratitude is a practice that works for success, happiness and abundance.


But how do you “be grateful?”


The simple answer is do the opposite of being ungrateful or feeling that there is nothing to be grateful for. There are always millions of reasons to be grateful. The opportunity for gratitude is limitlessly abundant. You can never run out of things to be grateful for, because the universe never ceases to support you, even when it seems things are going wrong.


In fact, when things seem to be going wrong it is simply the universe pointing out that there is a big reason to be grateful!


We need to hit the reset button of our positive energy…

all the negative energy causing the bad situation needs to be turned into positive energy that works in favor of the goals desired. 


We may sometimes wonder, "Why don’t people get it about this and figure out what the lesson is and stop acting as victims of a cruel and unfair world?" It is just a valuable life lesson – a lesson in gratitude. Gratitude is not limited to winning the lottery, getting on TV or passing the exams. To be grateful can mean to be abundant and rich, right now with what you have and what your future will bring you if you work for it.


Gratitude is not about kissing grandmas hand when she gives you a cupcake. She would probably like that but a simple thank you is usually enough. When you feel gratitude, it's more of the comfortable feeling you have when you put your head on your pillow at night. You get a warm and fuzzy feeling about how good it feels to rest your head after a hard day at work.


When we are creating prosperity and enjoying abundance, we are emulating the feeling of joy we have about the things that make us happy.


When we really enjoy those feelings about the things that are making us happy, we are recognizing all the positive energy about those things. Now we have tuned our conscious mind and our subconscious mind to stay in tune with that energy.


When we begin to accept the positive energy we get from feeling abundance, we are beginning to work "the law of attraction". What we focus our attention on is what we will have more of in our life.


I personally guarantee that around you, right now, you have more than 50 things you could be grateful for. You see, gratitude is a choice. Choosing to be grateful activates positive thoughts and feelings. It is even proven to improve the "spiritual connection'' (inner self) as observed by psychological studies. For a start, you are most likely reading this article on a computer. Can’t you be grateful for the technology? Of course you can!


How about having food on the table? What about clothes? Do you have any friends? What if you could be grateful for those things you take for granted? This is not an excuse to beat yourself up, or a criticism that says you “ought to be” grateful. That would be counterproductive. The old cliché of telling your children to “think of the poor starving children" to get them to finish their plate never served those children. If anything and worse yet, it taught children to stuff themselves beyond their physical need while creating food addictions and obesity.


What this article is saying is that if you do choose to be grateful, even and especially starting with the small things, that increased happiness in some capacity is actually guaranteed. Even appreciation of the smallest positive events in our lives will lead us towards recognizing more positive things.


You will see a difference in your positive outlook on life if you only practice emulating this one positive feeling.


Just give it a little time each day to form it  into a daily habit, preferably 21 days or more. 


If you don’t know how to be grateful, start today. If you have ANY worries in your life, start being grateful today. It will powerfully shift your focus allowing those problems that you have been holding onto to be resolved by you or dissolved by you…


So you may ask, "How then, do I begin to be grateful?"...


Probably the best way to start the habit of gratitude is to get pen onto paper. Write what you feel and feel what you write. This will get your cortical brain working again and take you out of the arousal state into calm composure. Just gently relax and begin to think of things you like. You’ll be thinking again and again about different things..... but for now, the things you like. Then, take a moment to really think and feel the emothion of being happy about those things. When you feel the happy emotion, you are feeling abundance. When you recognize that you are feeling that, you are feeling gratitude. See!! That was easy.... now you can grow!


Getting down on paper 10 things that you could be grateful for is the best start...


Even if you feel there is nothing to be grateful for, you must look harder to find the things in life that you like. It is like planting a seed that will alter your destiny.


Maybe the changes will be subtle at first, but there will be changes.


Here is an example gratitude list of small and big things that anyone could be grateful for, especially when you're holding on to stuff which serves little sane or real purpose in order to complain, to worry, or to gain sympathy for the problem that no one created but you in the first place. This is a random list. It is advised that you make your own list. Starting now. Right now. Not later. Not when you’ve finished all the articles or checked your email or anything else. But right now. Put gratitude into action and see what it does for you.


Here. Start with some like these…..

  • Having a computer and having the time to read an article on it.
  • Food on the table all the life so far – wouldn’t be alive if that was not true.
  • Living in a country with good health care and a stable society.
  • Being able to improve myself using a proven technique – gratitude
  • To be able to be grateful just for nature – not needing material riches in order to be happy – happiness is a choice and I choose to be happy today
  • Cash Flow and having the money to be able to do what I want if I really choose to do it
  • Hands, arms, legs, feet, eyes, ears, voice that work well.
  • Knowledge about X subject
  • A family that loves and cares about me.
  • Movies that have cost millions to make that I can watch for a minute fraction of that cost

Yea!! That's ten things already!

Ok, it's possible that not all of those do apply to you, but for the majority of people, most of those things are fairly modest things to be grateful for. You see, you can always be grateful. Not because you should or you ought. Not because God or any higher power or the universe said so and you risk punishment if you are not grateful. It's important to find a warm fuzzy feeling about something… it's a matter of one foot in front of the other. You have to "start" your positive feeling so that you can make it grow. Once you get started, it will be a matter of gaining momentum. That's because it will increase your own personal abundance, success, and happiness.


Do it for you! Be grateful today and everyday and watch how your life begins to improve in every area.


One last thing. Let’s say you’ve got a really bad challenge at the moment that seems like it just cannot be resolved. Maybe it's a longstanding health issue, or maybe you’ve been stuck in a self-created or “natural disaster”, or created a financial situation that has been bugging you. Sometimes, these seemingly unfortunate events can be completely turned around when looking for the good in the situation. Ask yourself,  "what in this situation could I be grateful for?"  Keep digging for answers to this question and similar other questions…


In this way you will find positivity and start onto gaining momentum towards the already expansive realms of needed solutions. You will begin to feel more excitement, enthusiasm, peace of mind, and joy.  You will have more positive energy instead of falling into a rut or becomeing the victum of problems you think you can't solve. There are so many negative emotions and feelings that you do not need. It is a much better path to be forward facing and in a positive mindset. You will always be one step ahead and facing in the right direction. It will become second nature. Your conscious and subconscious will begin to work together and the law of attraction will work in your favor. This is an opportunity for personal development and learning. The possibilities are endless. The challenge will enable you to help others once you have worked through it yourself. 


The more reasons you can find to be grateful, right here and now, the more quickly you will find a way to resolve your challenges and reach your highest goals. You will see positive changes in a way that is for your highest good. Surprise yourself today by making a big list of things you could feel gratitude about and cultivate those feelings of gratitude. You’ll find gratitude is a pleasure rather than a pain. And a gift rather than a chore. Go for it!
