Flower- Poetry and Music

 Poetry again.... Just for fun and entertainment.

This time it's called "Flower".  It's a short story emphasizing the small and delicate nature of a flower, let's imagine it on a small blue dot in a big galaxy. 

Here's an explanation of the photo used as a backdrop in this presentation. 

The "Pale Blue Dot" is a famous picture of Earth taken from way out in space by the  probe called Voyager 1. 

Imagine Earth shrunk down to a tiny marble, and then taking a picture of it from really far away. In the picture, Earth just looks like a speck of pale blue light against the blackness of space.

The scientist Carl Sagan thought this picture was important because it shows how small our planet is compared to the rest of the universe. It reminds us that even though things here on Earth can seem really big and important, in the grand scheme of things, our planet is just a tiny dot. But that also makes it even more special that our tiny blue dot is full of life!
